Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible for your data

Prime Stay Rentals S.R.L., corporate ID 3-102-930430, domiciled at Alajuela, Alajuela, San Isidro, La Ceiba, 75 metros al norte del Auto Mercado, Costa Rica. Email: info@primestayrentals.com.

2. What data we collect

From the contact form: name, email or phone, whether you own properties and your message. We also keep the date, the version of this notice you accepted, your IP address and browser, as proof of your consent.

From the owners form: also the area, property type, bedrooms, whether you already rent it out and the estimate you saw in the calculator.

If you book a session: the day and time, the type of appointment (phone call, WhatsApp video call or visit) and, for a visit, the address or map link you give us.

If you request your proposal ("Your proposal, now"): the property details you fill in (location, capacity, bedrooms, bathrooms, beds, pool and other amenities, whether you already rent it out, your listing link, your approximate income, the dates you want to keep for yourself and what you expect) and the photos you upload.

If you write to us by WhatsApp or email: the data you send through those channels.

From browsing: your language choice and, only if you accept the cookie notice, site usage data measured by Google Analytics (pages visited, device, approximate country).

We also measure the site ourselves, with no cookies and no data that identifies you: which page was opened, whether from a phone or a computer, the language, which site or campaign you came from, and clicks on the main buttons. We do not store your IP; visits are grouped per tab with a random number that is deleted when you close it, and records are removed after 13 months.

We do not collect sensitive data or data from minors.

3. What we use it for

To answer your inquiry, assess your property, prepare a proposal and follow up on that inquiry. Browsing data, to know how many people visit the site and improve it.

Appointments, to arrange the session: we send you the confirmation with a calendar invitation, reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before, and a link to change or cancel it. The appointment is copied to the calendar of the person who will meet you (Google or Microsoft) with your name and the type of appointment.

The details and photos from "Your proposal, now", only to prepare your proposal; they are not published without your permission.

If you left your email in the owners form, we send you your estimate and up to three more emails about how we manage properties over the following days. Each email has a link to stop receiving them, and they stop on their own once we talk with you.

We do not send you advertising or use your data for other purposes without first asking for a separate consent. We do not sell or share your data.

4. Which data is required

To reply we need your name, your message and at least an email or a phone number. Without them we cannot answer. Everything else is optional.

5. Where it is stored and who processes it

Owner inquiries, appointments, "Your proposal, now" details and their photos are stored in the database and private storage of our application, provided by Supabase Inc. and Render Services Inc. (U.S.). This site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (U.S.). Emails go through our email provider (Namecheap, U.S.). If you choose WhatsApp, your messages are processed by Meta Platforms (U.S.). If you accept analytics cookies, Google LLC (U.S.) processes browsing data.

These providers process the data on our behalf and only to provide their service. By accepting this notice you authorize your data to be stored and processed outside Costa Rica with them.

6. How long we keep it

Inquiries, appointments and "Your proposal, now" details and photos, up to 24 months from when you wrote to us. If you start "Your proposal, now" and don't send it, it is deleted with its photos within a few days. Submissions discarded by the spam filter, 14 days. They are then deleted. If you sign a management agreement, your data is governed by that agreement.

7. How we protect it

It is kept in private storage with access restricted to the PrimeStay team, and travels encrypted (HTTPS).

8. Your rights

You can request access to your data, correct it, update it, ask us to delete it or withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@primestayrentals.com with the subject "Personal data". We reply within 5 business days.

If you believe we did not handle your request, you can contact Costa Rica's data protection agency (PRODHAB).

9. Cookies

We use a technical cookie to remember your language. Google Analytics and, if we use them, the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads advertising pixels only run if you accept them in the cookie notice. The pixels let us show you PrimeStay ads on those networks and know whether an ad led to an inquiry; you can change your choice at any time from "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page.

10. Published reviews

The reviews we show come from the platforms where they were published (such as Airbnb). If you wrote one and want it removed, write to us and we will do it.

11. Changes

If we change this notice, we publish the new version with its date. If the change affects how we use your data, we will ask for your consent again. The Spanish version of this notice prevails.
